Kerrville Floods, A Touch of Grace

A Touch of Grace

“My heart is shattered into a million little pieces. The blessing in that is that each piece holds a precious memory we made together. God will take those pieces and He will knit them back together in a way that only He can.” Words written after Kelly’s death in 2023.

There are thousands upon thousands of people whose hearts have been shattered. Right now, many cannot imagine a life without their loved one. Right now, many are hanging by a tiny thread. Right now, the brokenness is more than many of us can fathom.

What can we do? We offer hope when there seems to be none. We reach out a hand to lift another up when there is no strength left. We offer a touch of grace.

Sheltered in Grace has chosen to focus on small needs that crop up in everyday life. We will be on the ground, working side by side with local relief efforts. As we work with those affected and conversations take place there is a beautiful opportunity to hear needs that often go unnoticed. “I need a manual can opener.” “My daughter lost her favorite doll.” “We’ve got to fill up the car with gas.” “Our tools are gone, we need a screwdriver set.” “Batteries are so expensive!”

Simple needs, simple ways to help.

Together we can provide “a touch of grace” to these hurting families, please consider purchasing a $25 gift card. 100% of these monies will go directly into the hands of those affected by this horrific event.

“Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.” Jesus (Matt. 25:34-40)
